Why We’re Island Bound

A weekend of inspiration. A time of enrichment. A community of support.

We are gearing up to drive our Topricin van to join our dear friends in Rhode Island at the 11th annual Gloria Gemma’s Flames of Hope weekend to encourage, inspire, and support the hundreds of thousands of people on their wellness journey – living with or affected by breast cancer.

The Flames of Hope event has grown into one of the largest awareness events in the Northeast with three inspirational days of education, support, and hope.

The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation was established in 2004, in loving memory of Gloria Gemma, two years after Gloria, wife and mother-of-nine, lost her courageous fight against breast cancer. A devout woman, Gloria instilled in her children strong family values and the importance of helping people in need.

In 2008, the foundation opened its Resource and Wellness Center and Gloria’s eldest daughter, Maria Gemma-Corcelli, was named the executive director. Through the tireless efforts of Maria and her dedicated staff, including Carol Donnelly, the Foundation has developed and implemented numerous programs and support services to all those touched by cancer.

Lou_2 (3)Our Founder and Chief of Research Lou Paradise was selected by the foundation to speak at two “TED-Style” talks on Saturday for the crowds during the weekend, October 1 -2, within their Passport to Wellness Program – connecting not only with thousands of attendees but also his talk will be LIVE broadcasted to over 100,000 followers via social media.gloria3

Says Lou Paradise:

The mission we are all on starts with strong family values, genuine caring relationships and people being most important – helping everyone we can, especially those in need. After all, that is truly why we’re all here….The Gloria Gemma Foundation and its beautifully dedicated people is something very dear to ufamilys as we are humbled that our products are so effective in significantly reducing the pain and suffering of chemo-induced neuropathy , post-surgical trauma, and post-radiation treatments  affecting so many people being treated for various types of cancer.  It really touches us deeply when these darling people call us to let us know they are also off pain pills, and how we have had a part in restoring their hope of getting better and knowing they will get their quality of life back on their wellness journey. There are no words….

We also give thanks here to our friends at 4wholeness.com , founders Kevin Black and Susan Hunter, for taking on the creative lead of this Great Event and for the cancer community nationwide. Thank you for connecting us with your large network of amazing warriors!

And we are proud to be among some wonderful company sponsors including  CVS Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield,  Nordstroms…and more!
